As Fujitora apologizes, King Riku tells him to raise his head, but the Admiral says that it is important for the world to see his actions, as he reveals his reason for not attacking Doflamingo himself early on. He didn't want the Navy to appear to be heroes as they were the ones who allowed Doflamingo to do what he pleased in the first place and that he left the Straw Hats to do everything in hopes that they would succeed. Knowing the Navy may want to save face Riku orders Tank to take the Straw Hat and their allies as well as any homeless civilians to the palace. The Straw Hats reunite after the battle on Dressrosa, and Kyros disbands the Tontatta army. In Mariejois, Sakazuki meets with the Gorosei, angry about Doflamingo's deception earlier in the day. He and the Gorosei are then told about Doflamingo's defeat, shocking them. As the news about Doflamingo's defeat is carried all over the world, people that relied on Doflamingo's Underworld brokering lose their resources, and some get angry at Luffy and Law. Jewelry Bonney and the alliance of Eustass Kid, Killer, Scratchmen Apoo, and Basil Hawkins read the news, and the alliance is glad that Luffy and Law are after Kaido and not their target, Shanks. Capone Bege comments on the news, saying his friends are doing well, and orders his men to retrieve Caesar Clown, as Big Mom's flag is seen behind him. On a sky island, Urouge recovers from his wounds, when he is approached by a mysterious man. On another island, X Drake tells his crew that his father was killed by Doflamingo, but he doesn't hold a grudge about it anymore. However, his comrades are more concerned about the news, and scramble to tell Kaidou that Doflamingo has been defeated and his supply of "Smiles" has been lost. On Dressrosa, Fujitora and Sakazuki get into an argument over the Transponder Snail over Fujitora telling the world about Doflamingo's defeat so quickly. At sea, Smoker expresses relief that Fujitora got the truth out unlike he did during Crocodile's defeat, as he, Tashigi and the children from Punk Hazard are on their way to see Vegapunk. At Dressrosa, Sakazuki admits there were many ways he could have covered this up. Fujitora states that he does not want to be made into a hero for something he did not do, and that the World Government needs to take responsibility for their actions. Sakazuki shouts that it is a matter of credibility and trust, but Fujitora responds that if such meaningless trust is important, it would be better not to have any. Sakazuki tells Fujitora that he can never set foot in a Marine base until he captures Luffy and Law, which Fujitora agrees to.
