Bleach

Bleach opens in Karakura Town where Ichigo Kurosaki, a high school student with the ability to see spirits, is attacked by a Hollow. Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper, transfers some of her powers to Ichigo to save her life, making him a substitute Soul Reaper. Ichigo quickly defeats the Hollow and begins protecting his town alongside his friends Chad, Orihime, and Ishida. When Rukia is sentenced to death for giving her powers to a human, Ichigo travels to the Soul Society with Kisuke Urahara and Yoruichi's help. He battles through the Gotei 13 captains and discovers that the captain Aizen was the true mastermind behind Rukia's sentence. Aizen escapes to Hueco Mundo with Orihime, and Ichigo follows to confront the Arrancars — Hollows who have gained Soul Reaper powers. After intense battles including the fight with the Espada, Aizen is revealed to have been experimenting with the Hogyoku to become a hybrid being. Ichigo sacrifices his Soul Reaper powers to defeat Aizen, who is sealed away by Kisuke Urahara. Later, Ichigo regains his powers through a process involving Fullbring and returns to his duties as a Substitute Soul Reaper, with the Thousand-Year Blood War arc continuing beyond the original 366-episode series.
