Dragon Ball

Dragon Ball opens with Goku, a young boy with a monkey tail and superhuman strength, living alone in the mountains. He encounters Bulma, a teenage girl on a quest to find the seven Dragon Balls, one of which is in Goku's possession. Together they travel the world in search of the remaining balls. Their journey takes them through deserts, forests, and villages as they gather Dragon Balls while evading the villainous Emperor Pilaf, who also seeks the balls for world domination. Goku eventually trains under Master Roshi, learning martial arts and ki manipulation, while befriending Krillin, who becomes his lifelong rival and closest ally. At the World Martial Arts Tournament, Goku competes against Krillin, Yamcha (now an ally), and the mysterious Jackie Chun, revealed to be Master Roshi in disguise. After the tournament, Goku faces the Red Ribbon Army, a terrorist organization led by Commander Red who desires the Dragon Balls to become taller. Goku single-handedly defeats the entire army. Later, Goku confronts King Piccolo, a demon who threatens to destroy the world, and his son Piccolo Jr. After defeating Piccolo Jr. in a final tournament match, Goku marries Chi-Chi and sets the stage for Dragon Ball Z.
