Full Plot Summary

spoilers

Jujutsu Kaisen opens with Yuji Itadori, a high school student with supernatural physical strength, at his school's cursed object research club. When the club unseals a cursed finger of Ryomen Sukuna, Curses attack. Yuji swallows the finger to protect his friend Megumi Fushiguro, becoming Sukuna's host. The Jujutsu Society sentences Yuji to death but Gojo postpones the execution on the condition that Yuji consume all twenty of Sukuna's fingers before his execution. Yuji joins Tokyo Jujutsu High under Gojo's training. He befriends Megumi and Nobara and battles Curses including the serial killer Curse Mahito, who becomes his primary antagonist. During the Shibuya Incident arc, Gojo is sealed away by the cursed spirit team, and Yuji and other sorcerers face a catastrophic battle in Shibuya Station. The arc ends with many casualties, Gojo killed off-screen after being unsealed, and Yuji presumed dead — later revealed to have been controlled by Sukuna. Yuji awakens to find himself in Sukuna's Innate Domain and negotiates to regain control of his body, while Kenjaku, the ancient sorcerer behind the Culling Game, continues his plan.
